4. Purpose and legal basis of processing

Personal data is processed to handle booking requests and bookings, provide the booked tours (including pick-ups), communicate with customers, answer questions sent through the website, handle billing and accounting, and develop our services.

The legal basis is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (bookings and booking requests), our legitimate interest (customer service and communication), legal obligations (accounting) and, for non-essential cookies, your consent.

• Name and contact details (email, phone number)
• Accommodation / pick-up address
• Booking details: tour, date, number of adults and children, children’s ages
• Messages and questions sent to us, and communication history
• Payment information needed for accounting (no card details are stored by us)

6. Sources of data

Data is obtained directly from the customer: through the booking forms and contact form on our website, by email, by phone or WhatsApp.

7. Disclosure and transfer of data

Personal data is not sold or disclosed to third parties, except when required by law. Data is processed by service providers who help us run our business, such as our website hosting provider and email service. Card payments on the day of the tour are processed by the payment terminal provider.

Data is not transferred outside the EU/EEA, unless the service provider ensures an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the GDPR.

8. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies. Necessary cookies ensure the website works. With your consent, we also use analytics and marketing cookies (such as Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta) to understand how the website is used and to measure our marketing. Our website also has a live chat (tawk.to). If you start a chat, the messages and any contact details you choose to give are stored in the chat service so we can answer you.

9. Protection of the register

Personal data is processed confidentially and only by Janne Tervaniemi, who needs it to provide the services. Data is stored in systems protected with passwords and technical safeguards.

10. Retention period

Booking data is kept as long as needed to provide the service and handle possible questions or complaints. Accounting records are kept as required by the Finnish Accounting Act. Messages and booking requests that did not lead to a booking are deleted when no longer needed.

• restrict or object to processing
• withdraw your consent at any time
