Meet the King of the Arctic!

The King Crab is one of the Arctic Ocean’s most fascinating creatures — the same species as the famous Alaskan king crab you’ve seen caught by fearless fishermen on TV. These powerful crabs migrated from Russia in the 1960s and have since become a vital part of Northern Norway’s marine life.

Our adventure begins with a comfortable morning pick-up from your accommodation in Ivalo, Inari or Saariselka area. We travel across the silent wilderness toward the Norwegian border, enjoying stunning Arctic views along the way.

Once we reach the coast, it’s time to join real fishermen and experience how King Crabs are caught — just like in the Arctic seas!

• From spring to late autumn (until November), we head out to the crab traps by RIB boat, gliding between the dramatic fjords.
• From December to April, the journey continues on snowmobiles and sleighs, as guests travel warmly seated in sleighs across the frozen landscape to the fishing grounds.

After the outdoor adventure, we’ll gather at a rustic farmhouse restaurant by the fjord, where a traditional Norwegian King Crab feast awaits. The crabs are served fresh, juicy and steaming hot — the true taste of the Arctic! The atmosphere is cozy, the portions generous, and no one leaves hungry.

This experience is a perfect mix of Arctic nature, culture, and cuisine — an unforgettable day trip from Lapland to Norway’s majestic fjords.
